He dreamed about Rambo and became a torturer. In his Turkish home Mickael is "discovered" by counter-guerilla officers in the military service. This is followed by training as an "interrogation specialist". "They aroused the beast in me," Mickael Suphi recalls today. However, when he is supposed to torture a child, he refuses to carry out the order and flees from Turkey under dramatic circumstances. He leaves his family and —for fear of revenge— leads an underground existence in Africa and Spain for 8 years. A shattering story of cowardice and guilt, of courage and the will to live.
